This 45-minute group class provides the basic framework combining breath work and movement along with other foundational principles of Pilates. The spring assistance and/or resistance of the Pilates Reformer helps to lengthen, strengthen, and tone the entire body. These classical exercises and coordinated movements are introduced with modifications and progressions to meet the clients where they are; with a focus on core activation and a total body integration!
This class level is a great starting point for those of you that are new to Pilates OR for those that would like to get back to the basics. This class will provide you with the "fundamental" building blocks of the Pilates repertoire on the Reformer & help maximize your Pilates class experience. The ultimate goal is to practice "functional movement patterns that translates into everyday life, thus increasing your strength & stability and teaching clients to move with precision, control and at a much slower pace.
Before you know it...you will be standing taller, sitting stronger and performing your daily tasks with ease!
